The single filament glass fibre line which will be used is equipped with a Pt/Rh
bushing with a single tip. Temperatures of up to 1500 °C at the top of the
bushing and 1450 °C at the tip can be realized. A ribbon equipped sizing roller
can be used to apply sizings at various rotational speeds. With a winder capable
of speeds between 50 – 3000 m/min the glass filaments are wound up on
cardboard cartridges.
